About the Author

Biography

Matthew Oberg is an iGaming professional from Brisbane with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Queensland and more than a decade of experience across the global gambling industry.

Matthew began his career in Australian land-based slot operations before transitioning to the UK online market. He has since worked extensively on game content across Europe and Asia with Skywind Group, one of the world's leading casino content providers. His work bridges mathematical rigour with creative content direction — a combination that informs his approach to casino analysis and review.

His professional background spans slot development mathematics, content leadership, and international iGaming production across Australia, Europe, and Asia. He has a particular interest in emerging technologies including cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and design, and their intersection with regulated gambling markets.

Editorial Approach

Matthew's casino reviews are grounded in the same analytical discipline he applies professionally. For HellSpin Review, this means evaluating casinos through the lens of mathematical fairness (RTP, variance, bonus EV), operational reliability (licensing, payment processing, KYC handling), and real player experience — supplemented by verified player submissions.

Matthew does not accept editorial payments, sponsored reviews, or casino-side compensation for review content. Affiliate commissions are disclosed transparently and do not influence editorial conclusions.

Areas of Expertise

• Casino game mathematics — RTP, variance, expected value
• Slot development and content production
• Bonus structure analysis and wagering mathematics
• Australian and international iGaming regulation
• Cryptocurrency applications in gambling
• Cross-border iGaming distribution and operator relationships
